An industry-changer, Harford's Super MaxiSpan commercial greenhouse boasts a 12.5 metre (41 foot) ridge-vented greenhouse with columns of up to 4 metres (13 feet). With equivalent growing conditions to a traditional Venlo design, it offers reduced heat loss and a more competitive price.

Using unique sleeve jointing systems, patented by Harford's, this top-quality structure is quick to build, allowing on-site assembly without the need for expensive scaffolding or cranes.

The dimensions of the Super MaxiSpan offer exceptional ease of layering and crop management. Tomato, capsicum and cucumber growers will find that they can easily fit over 16 rows of crop per span, while flower growers and nurseries will enjoy the added height, allowing for efficient space for benching and a manageable buffer zone above the crop.

Guaranteed as standard for four growing seasons in the Southern Hemisphere, the Super MaxiSpan is resistant to wind loads of up to 54 metres (164 feet) per second and can be modified for snow-loading conditions when required.

Standard Specifications

Size: 12.5m clear span, with length modules of 3m starting at 6,9,12,15, etc. Extendable by V gutter connected widths.
Ventilation: Double roof vents only 2.8m wide on either side of the ridge line (5.6m), automated vents, sidewinders, gable end vents. Single Phase Motors. Automated vents using temperature/wind controller and rain switch control.
Covers: Either Twin Skin or Single Skin, using 200 micron EVA Plastic Film c/w 48 month UV warranty based on a pro rata basis.
Framework: Galvanised steel using frame guard tape in areas where plastic comes into contact with steel.
Plastic Fixing: Harford’s Clip Lock, two piece fastening reusable PVC insert. Also Aluminium Insert available.
Column Height: 2.4m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m, 5m high
Doors: 2.1m, 2.4m, 3m high. Double sliding doors, located in either end walls or side walls.
Roof Pitch: 27 degrees, full truss design, snow loaded option available
Foundation Style: Starter 300mm out of the ground
Construction: Available as Kitset ex-factory Christchurch with casual telephone assistance during construction, or fully assembled by Harford Greenhouses construction teams.
