Shipping policy
At Harford Greenhouses, we work hard to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible. Here's what you need to know about how we handle shipping.
Where We Ship
We currently ship to addresses within New Zealand. If you have an enquiry about shipping outside of New Zealand, please get in touch with us directly and we'll do our best to help.
Shipping Timeframes
Most in-stock items are dispatched within 1-3 working days of your order being placed. However, a number of our products are fabricated to order, including our greenhouse and tunnel house structures. Where your order requires fabrication or where our dispatch timeframe is likely to exceed 3 working days, a member of our team will be in contact to confirm an approximate delivery timeframe. We appreciate your patience and want to make sure you're kept in the loop.
Once your order has been dispatched, delivery timeframes will vary depending on your location within New Zealand. Rural addresses may require additional transit time.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order. Some large or bulky items (such as greenhouse structures and tunnel house kits) may incur additional freight charges. We'll confirm any additional costs with you before processing your order if this applies.
Third Party Freight Providers
We use trusted third party freight and courier providers to deliver your orders. While we select our providers carefully, we have no control over their delivery schedules, routing decisions, or how they communicate with recipients. We recommend ensuring your contact details are accurate at checkout so providers can reach you if needed.
Freight Damage
Harford Greenhouses takes care in packaging your order for transit; however, we are unable to accept responsibility for damage caused by third party freight providers once goods have left our facility. In the event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number. While liability for freight damage rests with the carrier, we will do everything we can to assist you in resolving the matter and will liaise with the freight provider on your behalf where possible.
Lost or Missing Orders
If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, please get in touch with us and we'll investigate with our freight provider as quickly as possible.
Delivery Requirements
Please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery, particularly for larger items. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, redelivery fees charged by the freight provider may be passed on to the customer. For large structural items, please ensure there is suitable access at your delivery address. If you have specific delivery requirements or access restrictions, please note these at checkout or contact us in advance.
Order Tracking
Where tracking is available, we'll send you tracking details once your order has been dispatched. Tracking updates are managed by the freight provider and may not always reflect real-time status.
