A further development of Harford's original tunnel house designed over twenty years ago and proven in the worst of weather conditions.

Engineered to accept crop loading as standard up to 15 kilograms per square metre (3 pounds per square foot) the structural design criteria is the same high standard as used on all the Harford models and therefore represents exceptional value for money.

Ideal for lower crops such as flowers and vegetables or propagation. Ventilation options include sidewinders with windbreak material as well as open ends or gable vents.

This model can also be teamed with the Sawtooth design to offer under gutter ventilation.

Wide double sliding door for ease of access.

Harford's modular sleeve connected design ensures simple on-site construction.

Standard Specifications

  • Size: 6m, 7m, or 9m wide clear span, with length starting at 6m, and can increase in increments of 3m. Can be a multi-bay connected by a gutter.
  • Ventilation: Sidewinders on either side, full or half height, c/w mid rail, gable end vents. Automated sidewinders using temperature cHarford’s clip lock, two piece fastening reusable insert and aluminium insert available. Timber roll batten system on single skin applications in gutter area. Controller or manual sidewinder winch with self-locking mechanism.
  • Covers: Either Twin Skin or Single Skin, using 200 micron EVA Plastic Film c/w 48 month UV warranty based on a pro rata basis.
  • Framework: Galvanised steel using frame guard tape in areas where plastic comes into contact with steel.
  • Plastic Fixing: Harford’s Clip Lock, two piece fastening reusable insert and aluminium insert available. Timber roll batten system on single skin applications in gutter area.
  • Column Height: 2.2m, 2.4m or 3m high
  • Doors: 2.1m, 2.4m, 3m high. Double sliding doors, located in either end walls or side walls.
  • Roof Pitch: 42mm Hoop Design, full truss design, snow loaded option available.
  • Foundation Style: Starter 300mm out of the ground
  • Construction: Available as Kitset ex-factory Christchurch with casual telephone assistance during construction, or fully assembled by Harford Greenhouses construction teams.
