The MaxiSpan commercial greenhouse offers growers an expansive crop area with superior air circulation well-suited to even the densest of foliage. Ideal for varied climates, from tropical to alpine, the CAD-designed structure can be set for snow-loading conditions, and rigorous testing has demonstrated it can withstand wind speeds of 40 metres (132 feet) per second.

The unique modular design patented by Harford's ensures simple and fast construction on site without the need for scaffolding or cranes and offers limitless expansion when required. Enabling you to keep growing while you keep growing.

The interior framework is designed to offer maximum light levels to your crop. Premium quality high technology covers reduce heat loss by half over traditional coverings while offering superior anti-condensation benefits. Covers are held in place by Harford's Cliploc two-piece reusable fastening system, enabling quick replacement and reduced costs.

Available as a kit-set collected from our factory or with full professional construction by our dedicated contractors.

Standard Specifications

  • Size: 9m wide clear span, with length modules of 3m starting at 6,9,12,15, etc. Extendable by V Gutter connected widths.
  • Ventilation: Single or double ridge vents, 1.75m wide, manual endless chain or automated, sidewinders, gable end vents. Single Phase Motors. Automated vents using temperature controller, temperature/wind controller and rain switch control.
  • Covers: Either Twin Skin or Single Skin, using 200 micron EVA Plastic Film c/w 48 month UV warranty based on a pro rata basis.
  • Framework: Galvanised steel using frame guard tape in areas where plastic comes into contact with steel.
  • Plastic Fixing: Harford’s Clip Lock, two piece fastening reusable PVC insert. Also Aluminium Insert available.
  • Column Height: 2.2m, 2.4m or 3m high
  • Doors: 2.1m, 2.4m, 3m high. Double sliding doors, located in either end walls or side walls.
  • Roof Pitch: 27 degrees, full truss design, snow loaded option available
  • Foundation Style: Starter 300mm out of the ground
  • Construction: Available as Kitset ex-factory Christchurch with casual telephone assistance during construction, or fully assembled by Harford Greenhouses construction teams.
